Gareth Thomas: Your Labour & Co-operative Candidate for Harrow West

Gareth ThomasSupport Gareth's plan for a Harrow we can be proud of that protects local police, schools and the NHS.

This election is a clear choice. Between yet another Conservative MP who'll give a blank cheque to the Government to close our local police station, cut our schools by £15m and demolish our NHS or me, Gareth Thomas, the local choice with both a strong record and a plan to deliver a Harrow we can all be proud of.

  • Health

As your representative, I brought Alexandra Avenue Walk-in Centre to Harrow and have championed key services like Northwick Park Hospital. Yet under the Conservatives, Harrow has received the lowest level of funding for the NHS than any other London borough. I will always fight Harrow’s corner to protect and invest in our NHS.

  • Police

Keeping our streets safe should be a huge priority for Harrow’s voice in Parliament. The Conservative’s want to cut London’s police funding by £400m, which could see Harrow Police Station closed and less police on our streets. The Conservative’s want a blank cheque in government, when they should be writing a cheque for our police force.

  • Schools

As a former teacher and now with my two children, I know one of the greatest things about Harrow is our excellent schools. This is being put at risk by the Conservative’s £15m cut to Harrow schools. Our children are the future of our borough and we should be investing in them rather than school funding.
