Step free access.
There was great disappointment, amongst all those who had campaigned long and hard for step free access at Harrow on the Hill station, when Boris Johnson, then Mayor of London, cancelled the project.
Since then, local groups and politicians have continued campaigning to have the funding restored. Greenhill councillors have joined an number of local groups in publicising the issue in the local media, taking the opportunities to raise the importance of this with members of the Greater London Authority (GLA), Sadiq Khan, and senior members of TFL and stressing the importance of this provision to developers. It has now been agreed that lifts will be installed.
Currently work is underway to fit lifts to the College Road entrance and the platforms. This has been delayed due to the CovID-19 pandemic but work has since restarted and hopefully the lifts will be up and running by March 2021.
