Labour councillors delivering for Wealdstone
Investment in Wealdstone continues as your local ward councillors secure the resurfacing of Risingholme Road. This is after securing the necessary funding for many other improvements in the ward such as the new murals that where championed by the local Labour team.
Harrow’s Labour Council has also prioritised the improvement of street lights on Locket Road and Kenton Lane which will soon see the switch to L.E.D. street lighting. This will keep the streets safer brighter and environmentally more sustainable.
Despite deep cuts to our budget by Central Government, Wealdstone’s Labour councillors continue to work hard to ensure that our community does not miss out and we continue to see investment in our streets. These and other continuing investments prove our commitment to Building and a Better Harrow.
Councillor Phil O’Dell commented on the work saying:
‘As a Wealdstone team we have been working hard to secure funding for the area. These are not the most exiting projects but it is crucial that we continue investing on our streets. These are issues that matter to residents and we will continue to make sure we deliver on them’.
Councillor Natasha Proctor added:
‘This is fantastic news for residents, the improvements to these streets make a massive difference. It is easier to drive and it makes the area a nicer place to be. We will continue to ensure the council listens to residents and invests in Wealdstone’.
