Victory for residents as Ridgeway development is Rejected!

~ Relief shared by all as the planning proposal being made to build on the plot at 265 The Ridgeway has been rejected. Thank you to everyone who helped with the campaign.
The unacceptable planning application for 265 The Ridgeway went to a planning meeting on Wednesday the 28th of July.
Your Labour councillors joined with residents to speak against the unacceptable proposal. Harrow Labour demanded that this
development be rejected as it was not a suitable proposal. It was too big too, intrusive and did not meet the needs of local residents.

Your Councillors and MP Gareth Thomas have been fighting this development from day one and will continue to oppose this if it is
brought back.
Your Labour Team spoke at the meeting and contacted decision makers to express our opinion that this development would:
• Intrude on residential properties
• Create traffic issues that could be very disruptive to residents
• Damage a diverse and needed green space damaging wildlife
• Fundamentally fail to solve the housing issues that we face
• Set a precedent of unacceptable building
A local resident said “The developers had no care about the local community. It is great to see Gareth, local councillors and our community
fighting this all the way and to see the plans rejected”
