Meet your candidates for Centenary Ward ~
Having had a deep involvement with the local community. I have always and continue to champion community values, be they promoting cleaner and greener environments, safer neighbourhoods, supporting local businesses, and fostering stronger community cohesion. Witnessing the impact that government cuts have had on our local community has strengthened my determination to use my energies and dedication to make a real difference here in Centenary. That is why I am honoured to be standing as your Labour and Co-operative Party candidate for Centenary. I want to channel those strong community values I have seen and heard on the doorstep into making sure Centenary voices are heard loud and clear in the council, and ensuring that Centenary and indeed Harrow, continue to be places we can all proudly call our home.
I have enjoyed living in harrow for over 30 years and have seen the borough develop and grow to welcome new residents. I love our rich and diverse home and want to be a champion for Centenary. We need good services for all our families to make sure we can thrive. That means investment in schools, social care, parks, roads, lighting, and waste management. Good quality affordable housing is a key priority, as well as caring for the most vulnerable in our community. We need to make sure Harrow Council works for all our residents. It would be my privilege to stand for Centenary, and to make your voice count. Together we can make our home a safer, cleaner community.
As a Father of three young children and as a local school governor, I understand the impact of government cuts in our provisions for young people in Harrow. Having also worked in the charity sector for the last 15 years, I appreciate the challenges faced by many vulnerable families in Harrow. It is with that understanding and the commitment to ensure that we continue to deliver for all the people of Harrow, that I stand as your local candidate to work with you to make Centenary the best place to live, work and raise a family in Harrow.
