Meet your Roxeth Ward Councillors
Cllr Jerry Miles
I have lived with my family in Roxeth for 32 years and I have represented Roxeth Ward on Harrow Council for 24 years. I am retired and dedicate my time to working for and with the local community.
During my time as Councillor for Roxeth I have been privileged to be able to serve the community by helping to address the concerns of our residents, such as fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, crime, traffic and accessibility, and environmental issues. I work with local businesses, sports clubs, schools, and places of worship to ensure everyone has a voice and is supported by our local council.
I would welcome the opportunity to continue my work with residents and community groups to ensure Roxeth is somewhere they are proud to live, work, and study in.
Cllr Peymana Assad
I’m proud to call Harrow my hometown because it opened its arms to me when I was a child fleeing war. It is why I’m so honoured to have represented Roxeth on the Council, working to make South Harrow a cleaner, safer and fairer place to live and work.
Over the last 4 years as your Councillor I have served the community by pushing through changes by setting up and chairing the Community Action South Harrow Group. Together we’ve got Christmas lights on Northolt Road, solved major fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour issues, supported local businesses and worked to make South Harrow a safer, cleaner and fairer place to live and work.
I’ve always stood up for our community and pushed for our voices to be heard on the Council, so we can be proud to call South Harrow home. I’d be honoured to be able to do it again.
Cllr Rashmi Kalu
I am proud to call South Harrow my home but I am always conscious that our home can be better.
I have lived in South Harrow my whole life and want to be a Councillor that champions our area, and all the communities within it.
Through investment into greener and cleaner Alexandra and Roxeth Parks, or through a stronger identity in our High Street, or safer access to local schools. I want to ensure the council is working for all of us.
I have already spent much of my 20’s working to secure justice for residents as a caseworker and I have started building on this in Roxeth, working to support you, my neighbours and friends.
Thank you for voting Labour!
